Many different individuals make up the cast - pretty much any one who has had a spoken part will have at least a name and other vital stats. It can be difficult to keep track of them all (even for the author!) and attempts to provide a thorough listing in the past have met with mixed results. Cadets There are six form years at Magellan Justice Academy, with between 24-30 cadets commencing in the first year. Typically one or two cadets might drop out every year (less typically they might be injured, expelled or die) so usually there are fewer cadets in subsequent years and often only ten or so in the final sixth year. Faculty These are the various Academy teachers, of which there are many. Having been a superhero is not necessarily a pre-requisite for teaching at Magellan Academy - essential qualities include a superior understanding of elected field of study, outstanding teaching skills and above all else a commitment to justice, fairness and the safety of the cadets. Many of the former Magellan superheroes do however go on to teaching when they choose to retire from active superheroing (or, for example, are injured and can no longer pursue the profession). The Heads of the 16 faculties were all introduced on page 1.19 - although the majority of them have never had more than a cameo (a key to the individual Faculty Heads can be found here). Force Magellan (f.1972) Force Magellan is the main superhero group that deals with global and intergalactic issues. Headquarters are based at Magellan Island. Following the heroic death of the superhero Magellan fighting the demonic global threat known as the Q'Arth in 1972 his colleagues and friends from the International Justice Force renamed the team Force Magellan in his honour. Founding members were Nitro-Man, Glamor, Gola Beh, Green Pope, Dr Logaryhthm and Chinese Lantern. As those individuals began to age they took on the role of training replacements - and so the member roster has changed many times over the following years. Current members are listed below.

Oz Magellan Australian branch of Force Magellan founded in 1989 by UberRoo and Slow-Mo, based at Sydney on Spectacle Island (which is located within Sydney Harbour). There are six active members and their general range of operations takes in the entire Oceania region: Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea, plus the smaller islands nearby. They liaise with smaller Magellan trained teams within Australia and larger teams from around the world such as Force Magellan and Magellan USA. Being an Australian citizen is not a pre-requisite for being on the roster of this group.

International Justice Force/IJF (1968-72) During the 1960s a new generation of youthful fighters against crime and injustice emerged. With powers derived via radiation, mysticism and technology combined with sheer bravado. The vision of Magnus Magellan Smith (son of Victory Man and Lady Lariat) - known as the superhero Magellan - brought these heroes together. They fought successfully against numerous perils with their greatest battle being in 1972 against the Q'Arth demon invasion centered arount Soviet Moscow. In a desparate last minute attempt to collapse the nexus through which the demons were emerging Magellan sacrificed himself thereby saving the entire planet. The remaining members of the IJF renamed their group Force Magellan in their fallen comrade's honour.
