Commentary This was one of my attempts to come up with a cover for Chapter 1 when I was thinking of publishing a collected volume. I really like the composition here, especially since it's not directly or intentionally derivative of anything I'm personally aware of. It kind of references the confrontation between Kaycee and Charisma at the end of that first chapter (see page 1.56) although obviously that was at night and had a completely different resolution... In case you don't quite get it, Kaycee is hanging from the extended finger of the Magellan statue originaly seen in the tower forecourts. I've also used part of the image to advertise Magellan on other websites.
